Elegant Botanical Sailcloth Tent Styling at Cattows Farm

Transform Your Wedding Day: Discover Botanical Elegance with Our Sailcloth Tent Styling at Cattows Farm

We were so excited to hand the Sailcloth Tent over to Lesley of The Rustic Wedding Company and Fran of Limewood Flowers, to create this gorgeous design. Their vision transformed the Sailcloth into a botanical paradise, blending natural beauty with sophisticated style. This stunning shoot, which took place at the picturesque Cattows Farm Weddings, all captured perfectly by Gina Fernandes Photography.

Here Lesley tells us more about this Botanical Elegance Shoot:

Botanical Sailcloth Tent Styling

The Inspiration

Our design began with a soft powder blue, perfect for the freshness of spring and versatile enough to fit beautifully into the warmer summer months. Together with the florist Fran, we introduced pastel peach and lemon tones, enriched with coral and pink flowers. This added vibrant pops of colour throughout the design.

Table Styling

The sailcloth was set to seat 72 guests, with a mix of long Nordic Pine tables and traditional round tables. This combination seamlessly suited the space.

Each guest table had a ruffled blue table runner across the centre, which helped to showcase a variety of different centrepieces.

Fran at Limewood Flowers provided small bowl arrangements for low centrepieces and tall greenery vases for tall centrepieces on the round tables. She also provided lots of small bud vases of flowers for the remaining central long tables. These were complemented by tall gold candlesticks and a selection of tealight votives, creating a captivating display of candlelight, especially when the light changed into the evening.

Tableware

Three different types of charger plates were selected to reflect and complement each unique table style, yet worked together seamlessly as a whole. Clear glass beaded charger plates were placed on the top table, while gold glass plates were chosen for the central table. Seagrass charger plates added a rustic touch to the round tables. (All of these can be hired from our DIY Prop hire at Rustic Wedding if you wanted to recreate this look yourself.)

The Top Table

The top table was draped with gorgeous waterfall chiffon fabric in powder blue, creating a focal point to display a variety of different candles and clear glass cylinder vases. Fran provided a show-stopper of a meadow arrangement to sit in front of the table, seamlessly bringing the outdoors in and adding a stunning focal point.

The Treat Table

For the cake display, a sweeping drapery backdrop was created to match the styling of the chairs and complement the classic white cakes from Lucy Claire Bakes. Fran added unstructured greenery to the backdrop and florals to the front of the table.

With just a little effort, you can truly celebrate your cake station with simple styling that contributes to the overall look.

The Stationery & Signage

Lily & Pearl Stationery created simple white signage and some floral table stationery to match to match the overall vibe.

The Flowers

Here is Fran of Limewood Flowers to talk us through the Florals;

The Sailcloth served as an ideal canvas for our vision, with its bright, airy charm and lofty heights. Our goal was to transport guests into the embrace of a warm spring day. The focus was on seamlessly blending the outdoor surroundings with the indoor space, creating an immersive experience for all attendees.

To achieve this, we showcased big birch trees, bursting with fresh spring vibes on the three poles in the sailcloth. These worked beautifully in the space.

The colour palette on the tables included soft blues in the table drapes, complemented by colourful seasonal and locally grown flowers. Abundant pinks, oranges, and yellows were present, with just a subtle hint of blue in the forget-me-nots. These blended seamlessly with the overall styling
