With the world becoming more and more eco-conscious, there is also a movement for couples to plan their wedding in a more green, eco-friendly way. Which has led us as a company to think about how we can help you to create a more sustainable outdoor wedding. And how we can make our side of your wedding as eco-friendly as possible. The biggest focus for businesses is reducing your carbon footprint. And for us our business goal and main Carbon Offsetting Ethos is to become a completely carbon-neutral business.
In terms of actually reducing our carbon footprint, we found it might actually be quite difficult, as our biggest consideration is travel, and we will always need our vehicles to get our tipis and sailcloth too and from your wedding venues.Ā So after lots of discussion and research, we started looking into carbon offsetting as an option instead. Whilst we continue to research more eco-friendly transport options!
About Ecologi
With all of this in mind, we found Ecologi. Ecologi is a UK based company, founded in 2018, that is using its resources to combat climate change, mostly by helping businesses and individuals reduce their carbon footprint. They work Gold Standard accredited schemes, with 85% of business and individual donations going towards funding projects and the other 15% towards the running of Ecologi.
They fund all sorts of different projects around the world, such as protecting and restoring our rainforests, mangrove planting, reforestation, wind power projects, renewable energy projects and so much more.

We have partnered with Ecologi. Meaning that for every completed wedding, party, corporate event – or any event full stop! – we will plant 10 trees. This means that once you have had your big day, we plant the trees in celebration of your event.
We also plan to contribute towards other projects as we increase our support – from wind power projects, to rainforest protection, to projects that work on capturing methane gas and turning it into energy.
How much have we contributed?
So far we have contributed 240 weddings towards funding tree planting and other projects. Meaning we have 2400 trees planted and growing. Along with contributions towards wind power projects and capturing methane to produce energy. This equates to 20 tonnes of reduced carbon emissions.
This is a brand new venture for us. We canāt wait to see that number grow over the coming years as we contribute more to reduce our carbon footprint and help combat climate change.
