Boho Monochrome Sailcloth Styling
Bryony from Bobbi Wren Events was in charge of styling the Two Pole Sailcloth at one of our recent showcase events and created this classy take on monochrome boho sailcloth styling. This took place at our waterfront venue, Cuttle Brook, with the sailcloth taking full advantage of the gorgeous view over both the field and the river with it’s clear walls. Bryony’s styling was warm and cosy, with fresh contemporary twists.
Here Bryony talks us through the details alongside gorgeous photos from Jessica Coates.

Styling Theme
Reflecting my own business vibe, I added a boho twist to the monochrome styling brief using varying shades of sand and beige with a hint of black. Mixing warm boho with a cool contemporary spin, dried flowers and classic stationery.
To set the scene at the sailcloth entrance, the welcome sign sat upon a peacock chair on a tasseled rug. Alongside a small wicker table with welcome stationery, textured hand painted bottles, and dried and fresh flowers.
We created a focal point for a show stopping photo backdrop using out draped Bretro panels, with tall dried flower towers and boho rugs.

Tables
The tables were one of my favourite styles to have brought together. To create warmth and texture we used ivory cheesecloth ruffled runners on simple white table linen. We added sand coloured napkins and seagrass placemats. Alongside ivory textured bud vases filled with alternating fresh and dried flowers.
Long tapered black candles in glass holders complemented the black tasseled stationery which elevated the monochrome palette. Two peacock chairs gave that extra special touch to the sweetheart table.

Flowers
Dried flowers are utterly boho, so I was super excited when Maria of The Flower Patch said she was keen to work with them.
Dried flower pompoms hung over the dining area in between large bamboo lanterns. Maria also produced a memorable dried flower hoop that was set above the bar area. The mix of textures and how Maria brought them all together in her unique creations was exquisite.

Cake
The cake is a piece of art and should always have a special area that joins the whole vision. This cake from Mad Cake Maker was incredibly beautiful and intricate. Four tiers dressed in white with wafer paper texture and delicate handmade icing flowers in off white.
Styled in front of our rattan sunburst screen, draped table and placemat with textured flower bud bottles, adorable stationery quotes and large demijohn vase with pampas grass.

Sustainability
This is a big consideration for every wedding and event that I approach. Working with suppliers with a similar ethos for the environment and sustainability is really important to me.
Maria’s flowers are her own British grown and she dries them herself too. So she could create my vision very easily and really understood the brief.
I source most of my props second or third hand. I rejuvenate and hand make bespoke backdrops and reuse as much as possible.
