This waterfront wedding venue lies at the end of Cuttle Brook joining the River Trent as it meanders past the historic Swarkestone Bridge. With its panoramic views across the Derbyshire Countryside, this uniquely picturesque, riverside location is perfect to host a relaxed and romantic outdoor wedding. Cross over the charming bridge and walk into the large event space complimented by rustic farm buildings and beautiful fields of crops in which to capture the most unique wedding images.

DIY Wedding Site

Cuttle Brook at Swarkestone, is a waterfront wedding venue that offers you the perfect space to design your own outdoor wedding festival.

The site is perfect for either a Tipi Wedding or Sailcloth Marquee, both of which Sami Tipi can provide for you.

Cuttle Brook provides a blank canvas for your to create your wedding day in these beautiful surroundings. Located just down from a working farm the landscape around the site is frequently changing. There are so many different spots your photographer will love taking you too, to capture some magical and unique photos.

No Corkage Wedding Venue

The site is no corkage, which means you can provide your own drinks if you wish. Alternatively, we work closely with Mambo Mobile Bars who can take care of this for you. They will work with you to create the right drinks menu for you.

You and your guests are encouraged to make the most of this waterfront setting by camping for the weekend. You can either bring your own tents or Sami Tipi can recommend local Bell Tent companies to help you create you glamping village.

Locally, there is a good range of B&B’s, if your guests would prefer these include the Crewe and Harpur, John Thompson Pub. Located on the farm is also The Pavilion, a Landmark Trust property that makes for the perfect bridal accommodation. This can be booked directly with the trust. From the rooftop of the Pavilion, you have a perfect view over your waterfront wedding venue too.
