Ryan and Claire's Ultimate Boho Wedfest Celebration

When Ryan and Claire planned their wedding, they wanted it to reflect their fun-loving, free-spirited personalities. The result? WEDFEST 2024 – a festival-style celebration filled with amazing food, epic entertainment, and most importantly their closest friends and family.

Their Structure and Styling

Claire and Ryan chose Three Giant Hats and a Chill Out Tipi for their wedding celebration. Being the creative one behind all the stunning decor, Claire infused the Tipis with a boho-rustic look that perfectly complemented their festival theme. She also took charge of the florals which was an incredible labour of love.

Small, colourful bud vases and glass jars were scattered across tables, filled with gypsophila and vibrant yellow tulips. A very personal part of the decor was a large printed black and white photo of Ryan and Claire at the entrance to the Tipis. Instead of a traditional guest book, the photo had writing space all around it for guests to add their kind words.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place outside, with the Tipis providing a stunning backdrop as Ryan and Claire exchanged vows. It was a simple but heartfelt ceremony that set the tone for the day.

Food and Drink

One of the standout features of the day was the food. Ryan and Claire organised three separate food sittings to ensure that no one went hungry.

The day started with flatbread style kebabs from Gorgeous Gourmet Grub. This was followed by ice cream shortly after from one of WE Catering’s horse-box vans.

WE Catering continued the food through the day with a huge hog roast, followed by chilli bowls for the evening.

The Entertainment

It wasn’t just the food that lasted all day, it was entertainment too. A live music duo filled the afternoon, before a DJ kicked in to get the guests ready for the live evening band.

On top of this, a bouncy castle outside was a hit with both the kids and adults. Even Ryan and Claire!

If that wasn’t enough, a fabulous magician wowed guests with clever tricks that kept guests laughing no end.

Making sure guests were always well watered, there were two bars for guests to choose from. One indoors and one outdoors.

In true festival fashion, Claire and Ryan arranged a massive glamping village. Here guests could stay overnight in luxurious bell tents decked out with boho furnishings. Creating a mini retreat for guests to enjoy the festivities without worrying about the journey home. Some guests even arrived in their own camper vans for the night!

Ryan and Claire’s ultimate goal for Wedfest 2024 was clear from the start: to create a day that felt more like a relaxed party than a traditional wedding! They succeeded in every way. From the rustic decor to the seamless flow of food. Fun, and music, the whole day was an epic celebration of love and togetherness. Their guests were free to roam, dance, eat, and enjoy every moment. Without the restrictions that often come with traditional wedding venues.

Their Top Tips

My advice to anybody planning a Tipi wedding, would be to allow yourself plenty of time, do plenty of research and seek advice from the experts, Sami Tipi. I would also highly recommend a wedding coordinator. In our case that was Beth from Sami Tipi. It really alleviated all of the stress during those difficult periods in the planning stage, but more importantly gave us complete peace of mind that our day would run smoothly on the day itself.
