We interrupt our usual “Real Wedding Wednesday” post to bring to you some inspiration from some of the Awesome Wedding Suppliers we have been working with. We promise this feature will be back for you in the Summer.
Back in September we Launched the new stunning site Cuttle Brook at Swarkestone. The site boasts panoramic views over the Derbyshire Countryside and is located adjacent to Cuttle Brook where it meanders in to the River Trent. With such natural beauty it was important to compliment this by working with suppliers that enhanced what the site offers, so inviting Ruth from Natural Favours seemed like an obvious decision.
Ruth, owner of Derbyshire based business Natural Favours, has been supplying natural confetti and bespoke wildflower seed favours since they established in Spring 2014. Recently they have started to supply cottage-style seasonal DIY flowers: they grow, you arrange, what could be simpler?! They’re keen on keeping things green here so all their seed are from just down the road in Nottinghamshire. Much of their flower petal confetti is grown on their own land in Milford, Derbyshire, with the remainder being supplied by other English growers.
“We’re passionate about everything to do with nature and wildlife and love sharing these ideas. Paper confetti is banned from many wedding venues as it results in litter and mess, so our natural confetti is the perfect alternative! It is 100% natural, biodegradable and venue friendly”.
“We created a fun confetti bar for the open day, making use of our French vintage Le Parfait jars that we also hire out as part of our service. Each one was filled with a different coloured confetti mix, the idea being your guests can create a colourful pick n mix style handful of confetti in a mini basket to throw after the ceremony. You and your guests will create some beautifully colourful photos to treasure forever! We supply our confetti by the litre so you can create your own confetti bar, or also in individual packets and envelopes”.
