Celestial Boho Tipi Styling
Taken from our recent Styled Shoot and Autumn Open Weekend, this Celestial Boho tipi styling is absolutely gorgeous! This event took place at Priory Meadows, and was the perfect opportunity to show off the venue with three giant hat tipis styled by the amazing Bryony of Bobbi Wren Events.
Bryony pulled together a super team of suppliers to create this look, and what a job she did! She talks us through her inspirations and how she brought it all to life in this post.
With Autumnal colour vibes, cosy bohemian twists and gorgeous celestial statement pieces, we are really excited for you to see it in its full glory!
Photographed by Sarita White, this is definitely one for the Pinterest inspiration boards!
The Styling Theme
When guests walk into a styled celebration, I want them to stop for a moment and be wowed. To feel the emotiveness of the concept in its entirety. To view and feel the inspiration and creativeness in their soul and walk through feeling that positive energy flowing. Enjoying it with as much as they can muster, the beginning for the newly married couple, their next chapter.
Autumn is perfect for this, a time of reflection, of new beginnings and like us, as the trees let their leaves fall, they prepare for new growth, creating more energy inside themselves.
Because of the beauty of Autumn, for this showcase I wanted to bring the outside in and the cosiness of the inside out, working towards my style of a bohemian concept.
To reflect those gorgeous coloured crunchy leaves, I decided on terracotta as a starting point. With ivory to contrast and lift the colour of the Nordic tables and tipi structure. The stars shine a little earlier at this time of year so to echo this inside we asked Paper Starlight’s to bring their atmospheric giant stars inside, adding even more to the ambience of the candlelit tables.
As well as whites and ivory’s, a burst of deep burgundies and reds worked so well. This season is after all so wonderfully colourful. Jess from J Austin Designs filled the tables with an ensemble of vivid flowers in bud vases with a touch of rustic foliage running through the middle table. Guests could take away a jar of buds as the perfect wedding favours, all matching the bride’s bouquet.
The top table was set apart as a sweetheart table, with an indie screen and peacock chairs, flowing drapes and lots of amazing rich colour bursts of flowers at the front.
The stationery was a soft contemporary celestial style, with circular menus to reflect a full moon and crescent moon name places. These sat on soft cheesecloth, loose tied napkins with seagrass placemats, as a mix of textures always works well for a bohemian feel. Lots of soft cheesecloth drapes donned the tables, archways and screens, taking away any harshness and adding a contrast against the tipi.
The Chill-Out Area
Our lounge areas added a luxury cosiness. With bohemian furniture, screens, Indi rugs and draping, cushions, faux furs and fluffy pampas grass. Giving guests the opportunity to move around, relax in comfort and take it all in by the fire.
These lounge areas double up as a photo booth backdrop, so J Austin Designs created a stunning floral display on our archway. Which smelled just as good as it looked! Again, we draped this in ivory to set it apart whilst also keeping on theme and adding softness.
We added a neon sign with the words ‘’All you need is love’ from Smithy’s Events, and peacock chairs for the couple and guests to take a seat for a photo.
We carried on the lyrics over to the dance floor with our LOVE letters. Lots of glitter balls, which catch the light in a sparkly and fun way, for guests to use as props were dotted around too.
The Cake Display
I always think a cake should be celebrated and framed, not in a corner somewhere. They are a work of art and this one certainly was a show stopper. The cake was gorgeous, coloured with terracotta, pink and gold, and decorated with bright contrasting flowers. It was displayed on a rustic barrel in-front of a palette backdrop, with a dried flower arrangement and just the right amount of bohemian.
The Outdoor Ceremony Area
Our gold moon felt right for an outdoor ceremony area. A celestial stage against a stunning backdrop of the flowing fields and dappled sunlight through an oak tree. We set this at the end of the aisle, with rustic chapel chairs and soft champagne drapes to the aisle chairs to tie it into the styling of the tipi. With a giant warm indie rug to add warmth and a large colourful floral display bringing it together.
