Festival Style Tipi Wedding at the Hideaway

Olivia and Zac knew from the start they wanted their wedding to be anything but traditional. “We decided to have an outdoor wedding because we really wanted the day to be relaxed and enjoyable for everyone. Our main goal was to create a fun, party-like atmosphere instead of a formal wedding, and thanks to Sami Tipi and our amazing suppliers, we were able to make that happen!”

Their festival-style tipi wedding was all about keeping things fun and laid-back. With three giant hat tipis, they created a rustic and bohemian setting that fit perfectly with the natural beauty of The Hideaway. Guests had plenty of room to relax, with two additional smaller tipis set up so everyone could soak in the woodland surroundings.

Olivia and Zac kept the relaxed vibe going all day, with a pizza van serving up delicious bites and a DIY bar that kept the drinks flowing. The perfect mix of festival fun and informal wedding magic made for an unforgettable day in the woods.

Olivia and Zac’s Top Tips

Sharing their Top Tips for planning a relaxed outdoor Tipi Wedding:

Hire a refrigerated trailer
Our wedding was BYOB and having somewhere cool to store our drinks was a game-changer

Think about bins.
We went to our local reclamation yard and purchased two oil drums which made great rubbish bins. Also, find out where the nearest waste disposal site is to your venue.

Make little baskets for the toilets.
Our guests were very grateful for deodorant, wet wipes and even bug spray

Start a great Spotify playlist and invest in a good speaker.
We had a band in the evening but before and after, we played our own music (with song recommendations from our guests)

Don’t forget caffeine!
We bought a couple of big urns and provided tea/coffee for our guests which was very well received – especially the morning after!!
