What if it Rains?

Can you wear heels with the flooring?

Our tipi flooring is a woven matting called Dandy Dura, this is laid over a waterproof protective membrane. The matting is high heel proof, so you and your guests will be fine in heels whilst in the tipis. There is inevitably going to be a time when you will have to walk over the grass, whether this is to pop to the toilet or to just enjoy the outside space, this when highest of heels will be a little difficult.

Our Tip is to let your guests know you are having an outdoor wedding, they do not need to know that it is in a tipi that can remain a surprise. By providing them enough information, they will be a little more informed on what to wear, including footwear.

Do we need power and toilets?

We have a selection of beautiful venues across the Midlands that can provide the perfect setting for our tipis. We have sites in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands. We are able to travel up to an hour and a half from our location in Swarkestone, Derby. This means we are only ever 90 minutes away from you and your venue if we are needed. Alternatively, if you have your own site already or if you are looking to have your celebration in your own garden space, this is possible too. We are always happy to visit new sites and discuss the options with you. Start your free quote to discover if we can cater to your location.

Will we need a site visit?

If your location is new to us, we will need to conduct a site visit. Here’s how the process works:

Virtual Site Visit:
– Initially, we will work with you to look at the site and review its feasibility through a virtual site visit conducted together on Zoom.
– During this session, we will assess key aspects such as site access, and space to ensure it meets the requirements for your chosen tipi set up.

Physical Site Visit:
– Based on the findings from the virtual site visit, if a physical site visit is required we’ll book this in. Not every site will require a physical site visit.
– One of our expert installers will visit the location to conduct a thorough inspection and finalise the setup plan.

When will you install?

The Tipi build as a rule for a Saturday wedding, will either be the Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. We will always pre-agree this with you.

The take down will be on the Sunday afternoon or Monday.
