Fun, Playful and Bold Tipi styling at The Hideaway, Ticknall, Derbyshire.

A few times a year, we get the chance to play with the Tipis ourselves. Showcasing different setups and looks to help to give you ideas for your own special event. In June we handed the Tipis over to Cathy of Boelle Events with a brief of “Make it Fun and Playful with lots of colour. Something that if I was going to have a party in the Tipis that’s exactly how I would want to have it!”

Boy did she deliver, surrounding herself with a team of super creatives, the colours in the Tipis just popped. The space was filled with hanging streamers and there was colour everywhere!

The Tipis at The Hideway, Ticknall

The look we wanted to create was a relaxed party vibe. This was a smaller Tipi set up of one Giant Hat and Chill-out Tipi plus the Little Hat Tipi.

The Giant Hat Tipi was used for the Dining Space where all of the colour and styling was injected. Making the most of the summer weather, we were able to have a larger opening.

The Chill-Out Tipi became the dance floor area, complete with a DISCO neon light and the Little Hat Tipi hosted the over-sized bar. Sitting at the bar, I felt I could have stayed there all day. Everything about this set up I just LOVED.

The Styling

Hanging from the Tipi cross poles were streamers by Streamadelica. They were so impactful in the Tipis, adding bursts of colour instantly. Cathy chose to have these hanging low, with them being over a dining area.

Allie of Polly and Me created the signage, with hand lettering in bright colours to compliment the rest of the styling.

Neon

Our new DISCO neon looked spectacular in the dance floor area.

The Ceremony Area at The Hideaway

The Hideaway, has its own area “The Glade” which is a favourite spot for outdoor ceremonies. Surrounded by mature woodland, it gives you the freedom to create an area that’s right for you.
