Kids Village Corporate Charity Ball

Back in Autumn 2022 Kid’s Village used our tipis to create their Corporate Charity Ball. The Big Ball of Courage. And boy what a magical evening it was!

A charity fundraising event raising money for their brilliant charity helping to support children with critical illnesses and their families. They created a magical atmosphere in the tipis with a Narnia theme, and even a wardrobe to walk through to enter the incredible space.

About Kids Village

Kids Village is a registered charity that is building the UK’s first holiday village just for children with critical illness in the midlands. The idea is that families who are going through an impossibly tough time, can come and relax in a beautiful spot in the countryside in a place that’s designed to be both safe and special. Breaks at Kids Village will a magical experience to create memories and be free to all families. We were awarded planning permission for Kids Village in 2022 to be build 10 lodges and a central facility between Lichfield and Burton-on-Trent, in the hamlet of Wychnor. The Big Ball of Courage

The Big Ball of Courage is a biannual event that we as a charity hold to raise money and awareness for Kids Village.

For our ball in 2022, we wanted to support local businesses and create a special and unique night to remember. We decided that tipi’s were the perfect way to create this atmosphere and to encompass our theme of ‘Narnia’. The Kids Village logo is lion which represents the strength and courage families need to battle serious illness and we like to theme our events around this lion- so for 2022 we went for ‘The lion, the witch and the wardrobe’.

Why Choose Sami Tipi?

Sami Tipi were an obvious choice for us as we know and trust their expertise and incredible network for fantastic suppliers. Jodie and Craig were incredibly flexible and supportive to help bring our vision to life. We had 200 guests join us for a 3 course dinner. A live and silent auction, games and a range of incredible performances including the amazing RPJ band who filled the dance floor for hours.

I’m really pleased to say we had an amazing night, and guests marvelled at the incredible tipis. We raised £50,000 towards building Kids Village.
