Sailcloth Weddings

We have a selection of beautiful venues across the Midlands that can provide the perfect setting for our sailcloth tents. We have sites in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands. We are able to travel up to an hour and a half from our location in Swarkestone, Derby. This means we are only ever 90 minutes away from you and your venue if we are needed. Alternatively, if you have your own site already or if you are looking to have your celebration in your own garden space, this is possible too. Our Bamse Fire pits are tipi specific and isn’t an option with the Sailcloth Marquee Tent. You can however hire this for use outside as long as it is 5m away from the Structure.

Yes, we have a number of open events throughout the year where you can see our sailcloth tents up in all their glory. You’ll be able to see what the tents look like when they are all lit up at night-time; perfect for imagining how your evening reception will look. You’ll be able to walk around inside and really get a feel for what kind of arrangement you want for your wedding. To make your tipi event function, you will require power and toilets. If your site does not offer these or organise the hiring of them, this is something we can do for you.

When we build your Sailcloth Tent, we’ll work with you to understand where you will want openings for example the main entrance, or an exit for your catering team. Most couples choose to either have the build complete with all the walls on with the option to roll these back on the day of the wedding or for really hot days, the walls can be left completely off all the way around or in part.

The Sailcloth build as a rule for a Saturday Wedding, will either be the Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. We will always pre-agree this with you.

The take down will be on the Sunday afternoon or Monday.

If your location is new to us, we will need to conduct a site visit. Here’s how the process works:

Virtual Site Visit:
– Initially, we will work with you to look at the site and review its feasibility through a virtual site visit conducted together on Zoom.
– During this session, we will assess key aspects such as site access, and space to ensure it meets the requirements for your chosen Sailcloth Size.

Physical Site Visit:
– Based on the findings from the virtual site visit, if a physical site visit is required we’ll book this in. Not every site will require a physical site visit.
– One of our expert installers will visit the location to conduct a thorough inspection and finalise the setup plan.
