Earlier in our blog we explored the possibilities of hosting your own wedding weekend. In December I met with Lynn and Richard, owners of Bawdon Lodge Farm, Loughborough, who not only have a site to host a tipi wedding but the grounds to facilitate a wedding weekend. Over to Lynn to tell you more about this unique venue and what it offers.
Set in the heart of the Charnwood Forest; Bawdon Lodge Farm is an exciting new venue hosting marquee and tipi weddings from 2014. Boasting stunning countryside views the venue provides you with the perfect blank canvas to create a day that is truly unique, to suit your tastes and style. At Bawdon Lodge Farm our ethos is to provide the kind of event that you wish for. So we don’t offer packages; we get to know you and help you to design your unique day based on your aspirations. By engaging with the talented Valerie Mattinson of Benessamy Weddings & Events and tapping into local and award winning wedding suppliers, we are here to help you plan every aspect of your Bawdon Lodge Farm wedding. We are also happy to work with your chosen reputable suppliers too if you have something else in mind.
And Bawdon Lodge Farm is available for exclusive hire. So no danger of bumping in to another bride on your big day! And in addition, we have plenty of space to be able to create your own wedding village. Working alongside Tinkersbells who can provide bell tents for you and your guests to stay over which compliment a tipi wedding perfectly. Or you and your guests can plug your caravans or campers into our electric hook ups and save on the taxi fair home. And for those who like a little more luxury, we’ve a number of local bed & breakfasts nearby.
Come and share your ideas with us over a cuppa and cakes and we’ll see how we can make them happen for you.
“It’s an honour to be able to open up our home to help people celebrate their special occasions. We’re here to help ensure that you can relax and enjoy your day as much as your guests. So come and embrace the beauty of the Charnwood Forest and let your imagination run free! ”
