Looking back over the last 12 months
WOW where has this last 12 months gone, it is incredible to sit and think about the last year and look upon it with gratitude at what an amazing year it has been. We are surrounded by the support and love of our gorgeous family, friends and industry friends. We love and appreciate the fact that every day we get to work with fabulous couples and help them to create their own magical tipi event. This year Craig and I have also celebrated 10 years of marriage (which totals 18 years of being together as a couple)!
So how did this year all kick off!!
Our first stop was to the tipi shop – We extended our tipi family with the addition of another two giant hat tipis, this allowed us to open our diary up to offer two events per weekend.
We kicked the season off with our spring showcase in which we collaborated with Bawdon Lodge Farm and Benessamy Events to bring a weekend jam packed full of inspiration. This really was an open weekend like no other with interactive workshops, the pop up food emporium by Thomas the Caterer and lets not forget the alpacas. Images captured by Matt Brown Photography.

With the extension of our tipis, we were soon growing out of our home office, so from the kitchen table in 2013 to the home office in 2014, 2015 saw us move in to a stunning new office, well I say new, it is actually a converted barn. This now provides us with a creative space to work in but also a great place to meet and chat through plans with our couples.
New Website and Logo
With Sami Tipi growing since our launch 3 years ago we felt it was time to freshen up our logo and website. We approached Miss Sammy Designs to work her magic to create a new logo that reflects the Sami Heritage. The website was re-designed by Purple Star and Buzz Website designs.
This year we helped 34 fabulous couples celebrate their magical day. Here is a highlight of a few of those;

Romantic Styled Shoot
This year we were delighted to introduce a NEW exclusive Sami Tipi wedding field called Cuttle Brook at Swarkestone, Derbyshire. We launched the site with a gorgeous and very romantic styled shoot which was also featured on Boho Weddings. Working on this was amazing fun, bringing together all suppliers that you would expect to be a part of your big day, all doing what they do best. Every year Treetops Hospice hosts a vintage fair with live music and fun for all. For the last two years we have supported the event with providing them with one of our giant hat tipis to host the live music for everyone to enjoy. This year the event raised just over £2,000 for the charity.
The Wedding Industry Awards
We were thrilled to be shortlisted through to the regional finals. This is a testament to our continued service that we offer our customers. Here we are photographed with other awesome wedding suppliers including Lynn and Richard from Bawdon Lodge Farm, Thomas also known as Thomas The Caterer and Jo from My Perfect Ceremony.
We finish the year with a little competition
