Rich & Em’s Lake District Tipi Wedding

Rich & Em’s Lake District Tipi Wedding

It is always such a treat to receive not only fabulous feedback but also images of our gorgeous couples that have celebrated their special day in our tipis. Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you the wedding of Rich and Em, who got married on the 25th May 2014.

This is what Em & Rich had to say about their day and also ourselves as their tipi provider;

“Most people would describe us as an unconventional couple and we wanted our wedding to reflect this.  The tipi provided a spectacular blank canvas for us to create and live our dream”.

“It took us 12 years, from proposal, to set a date for our wedding and because we had made our friends and family wait so long, we knew that whatever we did it had to be special.  From the moment we first saw pictures of the tipis at the NEC, we were sold”.

As born and bred Cumbrians, the only place for us to get married was in our home county.  Hosting a wedding in the Lake District brought its own set of challenges but throughout Jodie and Craig were only an email or phone call away.  There were no details we thought of that were too small for them to advise us on, and many things we didn’t think of”!

“We had such a memorable day – the tipis on the shore of Buttermere certainly created the magical atmosphere we wanted”.

The setting for Em and Rich’s wedding really was stunning, it is always great to see the transformation of a field to a venue for a wedding celebration.

Rich and Em’s personality oozed through the styling of the tipis. They had two giant hats and chill-out tipi plus catering tent. Internally the furniture provided seating for 110 guests on our Nordic pine tables with a mixture of bench seating and chairs. In the chill-out tipi, Rich created his own “help yourself” bar called “Rich’s Bra”!! The focal point in here was the Bamse fireplace, where guests toasted marshmallows later in the evening.
